Your Brand That Just Happens

How early to do you get up? As I'm sitting here at 5am preparing for my day I'm thinking about all the times I've been one of the first ones in the office. Not because I feel there is some value or something extra that comes with that, but because that's just me.

That got me to thinking about all the positions I've had throughout my life, whether they have been professional or not I have always been early. I reflect on comments from co-workers that they automatically know that they can catch me at a certain time in the morning. I begun to appreciate that this is in fact a part of my brand. Being able to be available without reservation is indeed a part of my brand. While I haven't strategically worked for this part of my brand, it just happened.

What is your brand that just happens? What do you do that everyone knows can be counted on (good or bad)?

I, like you, am always at least 1 hour early for work each day. Unfortuantely, his has less to do with my desire to be timely and much more to do with my desire to avoid traffic. However, I completely understand your point about one's personal brand, and if I had to pick something that I might hang my proverbial hat on as my brand, I guess I would say: Dependability.
