Quarter Point

Last month I talked about assessing careers within the first six weeks, as opposed to waiting until the end of the year. For publicly traded companies, around this time of year there is always a lot of buzz around where a company's financial performance will end up at the end of the quarter.

I feel this is an excellent time to do our career performance as well. As I've stated before, waiting until the end of the year and scurrying to account for all the good work we have done should not be our practice.

If we go back to our first day back from work and list the significant meetings we had, any major projects that we have taken on, any new role we have moved into and list out what the objectives where, if they were met, and how we played a role in the outcome is a start.

The goal is not to wait until the end of the year, let's do assessments of ourselves now.
