Introduction to Mr. H. L. Daniels
My name is Mr. H. L. Daniels and this is my site.
During the course of 2009 and beyond, I will be discussing life. Every angle, every vantage point and I hope that there is significant input into what I am saying. You see, my goal is to bring not just my point of view but several points of view. Oftentimes we discuss things based upon how we know they should be or how we want them to be but not how they are. I'm going to solicit feedback from a wide variety of people with varying perspectives so we can have some real dialogue. From those of us who grew up with silver spoons in our mouths to those who barely had a spoon at all.
I truly believe we can learn from all types of people, in all types of ways. This blog will also include interviews, group discussions, reference material, and the ability to connect with everyone. Not just with the people who are at levels that are perceived to be "higher" than us, but also those who are right there with us, managing lives in our own extraordinary way.
My goals for this blog are:
1. To grow
2. To help others grow
If you are like me, any achievement you have had has not been easy, a walk in the park, or just a phone call away. You have struggled. With struggle comes experiences that should be shared with everyone. I like the path that I have come to allow me to grow, although I can't be proud of every decision or outcome. The point is as we build relationships with each other, our family, friends (old and new) rarely do we share what made us who we are. I hope to focus on this and create a wonderful opportunity.
If you would like to learn more about me, I am on Linked in, Facebook, Twitter, and Plaxo. My name is Henry L. Daniels. I looked forward to getting to know you better......

Mr. Daniels, you are right. There are so many things that make up a person. I know that our personalities, upbringings and ideals form us/shape us for the world we live in today. I wish you much success with your blog.

This is a very interesting concept and site, and I plan to visit often. I suppose my inaugural contribution should be an introduction of myself. I am a young entrepreneur who enjoys volunteerism and networking activities. I love my family and I owe all that I am to my relationship with God and to my unwavering parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who instilled in me the many virtuous characteristics that I display today. My siblings are a gift to me from God. I am one of 5 and I have nothing but happy memories of my childhood. I always felt loved, supported and important and I was taught that I could do/be anything....and to this day, I BELIEVE that. My spouse is a dream come true. Very supportive. Very genuine. Very in love with both my public and private selves and committed to the success of our relationship. I don't deserve the love my spouse has for me, but I am convinced that no one else in the world does either (so I figure that I may as well keep it for myself). I am really into music and the arts. I often feel a liberation when expressing myself through music and art that is unparalleled. I enjoy excellent health, and I exercise with a frequency that hopes to improve with 2009's New Years Resolution. I have the kind of friends that you would swear are my family...and I have family who are also my friends. I am surrounded by people who love me and who truly wish my best. I love them too, and would give my last to any one of them if it brought a smile to their face. I am a church goer. I love my Pastor and First Lady and I heed and respect the words that they speak. I honor them in their position and I recognize the God in them and the burden they must bear for the sake of the body of Christ. My spouse and I are committed to lighten this load where ever we see a need to be a help to the Kingdom.
Yes, I am very blessed. I can state this without a doubt. While typing this blog, I realized the extent to which I am so wealthy in the most meaningful ways. Yet, in all of this I have made MAJOR mistakes in my life. I have lied, cheated and stolen from the people closest to me. I have complained and been ungrateful. I have looked the other way when I saw a person in need and I have committed sins that only God could forgive. I am flawed in the most intricate ways but in recognizing my shortcomings, I realize the room to improve. This blog and interaction with other thought provoking people can help me share my experiences and points of view in hopes of becoming the best possible version of myself. I aim to be just as much a blessing TO others as I have been fortunate enough to receive FROM others. This is my hope, this is my prayer, this is my goal.
